This series explores themes of love, life, death, seeing and being seen and is also a reflection on a recent trip to Mexico. Among a number of influences is the street scene series, by the German expressionist artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. The series contains references to automobiles and racing which were a part of my early upbringing, a cubist ascetic permeates throughout the paintings in this series. Year completed 2022.
