This painting is an exploration of the human figure and our deep and historical association with fire.  The pose of  the figure and its meaning is open to speculation as the painting also evokes themes of differing states of consciousness where the material and spiritual world may intersect.  This piece was originally painted in 2017 and reworked in 2024.
